  • When do I get to know about the conduct of assessments ?

    The Assessment date is visible on the Training Partner/Training Centre Portal, however, the details of the assessor are to be made available on/ before 7 days from the date of assessment via an email from the concerned Sector Skill Council /Assessment Agency.

  • What if I am dissatisfied with the batch results ?

    The Training Partner or Training Centremay connect with the concerned Sector Skill Council who will then take necessary actions.

  • What if the assessor does not turn up at the Training Centre location on the date of assessment ?

    In case of assessor being absent on the date of assessment the Training Partner or Training Centremust immediately inform the Assessment Agency focal point and Sector Skill CouncilSPOC aboutassessor’s unavailability. The SSC to immediately intervene with a warning or financial penalty to the Assessment Agency.

  • What should be the role and responsibility of the Training Centre on the day of assessment ?

    The Training Centre is expected to ensure that all candidates who have completed their training are informed & oriented about assessments. The Training Centre should also ensure that all candidates appear on the day of assessments with their Aadhar cards and assessments are conducted in a fair manner. The Training Partner or Training Centre should have all the equipment’s required for assessment of specific job roles.

  • What If I’m not able to download certificates from the Training Centre Portal ?

    If the Training Partner or Training Centre is unable to download certificates, they may raise a JIRA ticket at jira.login@campusmgmt.com for resolving the technical glitch if any. In the meanwhile, they may also connect with the concerned Sector Skill Council for the certificates.

  • What should be the quality of the paper on which Certificates are printed ?

    The Certificates shall be printed on non-metallic 270-330 GSM paper quality.

  • Who empanels an assessor ?

    The Assessment agency shall ensure appropriate number of assessors to be empanelled across regions and sectors.

  • What is Training of Assessors (ToA) program ?

    Training of Assessors (ToA) is a program organised by the Sector Skill Councils which is dedicated for the assessors in the skill eco-system. A Training of Assessors (ToA) model for a new assessor covers orientation and assessment on Domain skills and Assessment skills within a period of 6 days. 

  • Who is eligible to undergo Training of Assessors (TOA) ?

    The assessor having relevant educational and industry experience as defined by Sector Skill Council. The detailed list of Assessor’s qualification and industry experience for job roles can be found at: www.takshashila.nsdcindia.org >  Guidelines Section > Eligibility Criteria for Assessors.

  • Is it mandatory to have a Training of Assessors (TOA) before conducting an assessment ?

    It is mandatory to have a Training of Assessors (TOA) before conducting an assessment as per PMKVY 2016-2020, which should be ensured by assessment agency.

  • Whom do I contact for Training of Assessors (TOA) ?

  • What is the time frame window to register as an assessor before the commencement of the training ?

    You must aim to get registered for a Training of Assessors (ToA) program at least a week before the start of the ToA batch, as provided in the ToA calendar. For registration process and other information, please contact the respective SSC.

  • What are the distinct Training of Assessors (ToA) models available for the assessors ?

    There are two kinds of ToA models available for assessors:
    1. ToA for a new assessor
    2. ToA for an existing assessor

  • What constitutes domain skills ?

    Domain Skills refers to the sector-specific skills, technical knowledge, and know-how to perform a specific job accurately.

  • What is meant by the ‘ToA model for a new assessor’ ?

    The ‘ToA model for a new assessor’ entails the training of domain QP and assessment skills along with the assessment of both within a period of 6 days, given that the assessor already meets the criteria set by Sector Skill Councils on educational qualification and industry experience. On passing both the assessments with a minimum score of 80%, the assessor becomes a ‘Certified Assessor’. 

  • What is the duration of the Training of Assessors (ToA) for a new assessor ?

    The duration of the ToA is a total of 6 days: 2 days for domain skills training and 3 days for assessment skills training which will be followed by 1 day for the assessment.

  • What is meant by the ‘ToA model for the existing assessor’ ?

    The ‘ToA model for an existing assessor’ is the model applicable for assessors with prior assessment experience of minimum 5 batches or at least 100 students. The training of assessor (ToA) entails no training but assessment in both domain skill and assessment skill, given the assessor already meets the criteria set for the educational qualification and industry experience and has a minimum assessment experience of 5 batches or at least 100 students.
    On passing both the assessments with a minimum score of 80%, the assessor becomes a ‘Certified Assessor’.
    Any mark below 80% would require the assessor to enrol for the ‘ToA model for new assessor if he wishes to.

  • What is the duration of the Training of Assessor (ToA) program for Assessors with prior training experience (existing assessor) ?

    Minimum orientation of 1 day is recommended for the existing assessors who already possess minimum assessment  experience of 5 batches or at least 100 students. The assessment would take place for both the domain QP and the assessment skills.

  • Can I enrol for multiple job roles ?

    Yes, you may enrol for multiple job roles depending upon the batch composition prepared by the Sector Skill Councils. It would be necessary to meet the eligibility criteria for the job roles that you wish to enrol for. 

  • Which documents will I be required to submit at the time of the registration ?

    You will be required to submit the following documents at the time of the registration

     

    • Documents supporting your highest educational qualification, class 10th and 12th class certificates
    • Aadhaar card or any other identity proof
    • Work certificates for relevant industry experience and work certificate for training experience (if applicable). 
  • Is any identity proof to be submitted at the time of the registration ?

    Yes, submission of identity proof is mandatory, preferably your Aadhaar card.

  • Whom should I contact if the training calendar isn’t available on the site ?

  • What is the fee structure of Training of Assessor (ToA) ?

     The fee structure of the Training of Assessor (ToA) is:  

      New Assessor  Existing Assessor
    Technical Job role (per candidate) Rs. 7000  Rs. 2000
    Non – Technical Job role (per candidate) Rs. 5000  Rs. 1800
  • What does the Training of Assessor (ToA) cost include ?

    Training of Assessor (ToA) cost includes the following:
    One-time assessment on Domain & Assessment skills, study material, lunch & refreshment, training through Sector Skill Council certified master trainer, usage of ToA centre infrastructure, consumables and administration support.

    Travel, accommodation, and other personal expenditure are not covered in the ToA fee.

  • I have not received certificate for the course. Whom should I contact ?

    If you have not received your certificate after having completed the training, please contact the respective Sector Skill Council. You may write a mail to the respective Sector Skill Council with a copy of the same to be sent to tot@nsdcinda.org

  • Will the training content/ study material be provided for the Training of Assessor (ToA) ?

    Yes, the training material would be provided to you at the time of enrolment or when the Training of assessor (ToA) starts.

  • What is the minimum percentage needed to be certified as a ‘Certified Assessor’ ?

    To become a ‘Certified Assessor’, you will need to clear both the assessments (domain and assessment) with at least 80% marks. 

  • I appeared for the Training of Assessor (ToA) but I have failed to pass the assessment. What can I do ?

    In case you fail to clear both the assessments (domain and assessment) (less than 80% in both), you will be required to enrol for the ToA again through the Sector Skill Council to become a ‘Certified Assessor’.

  • How can I enrol for a re-assessment of Training of Assessor (ToA) ?

    To enrol for re-assessment, please get in touch with the respective Sector Skill Council(s) to know about the re-assessment possibilities.
    Re-assessment can be taken only by the new assessors within 6 months from the day of the declaration of the results.

  • Can an existing assessor be allowed to sit for re-assessment ?

    If the existing assessor fails to clear both the assessments (domain and assessment), he and she cannot sit for re-assessment. The person will have to register for the ToA model for a new assessor if he/ she wishes to.

  • What would be the cost involved if I want to undergo re-assessment for the domain or the assessment QP ?

    To undergo re-assessment for the domain or assessment skills assessment/ evaluation, you would have to bear the assessment cost for each QP. However, no training fee would be required to be paid in such cases.

  • Under what circumstances will I have to repeat the Training of Assessor (ToA) ?

    You will have to repeat the ToA if one of the following situations arise: 

    Case I: If your score in the domain QP assessment is 80% and above but less than 70% in the assessment skills assessment/ evaluation.
    Case II:
    If your score in the assessment skills assessment/ evaluation is 80% and above but less than 70% in the domain QP assessment.
    Case III:
    If your score in the domain QP assessment and assessment skills assessment/ evaluation is less than 70%.
    However, in the case of existing assessors, you will have to repeat the ToA if you fail to score minimum 80% marks in both the domain QP and assessment skills assessment/ evaluation.

  • What would be the validity of the TOA once the certificate is generated ?

    The ToA certificate issued will be valid for a period of 2 years from the certificate generation. 

  • Will I receive separate certificates for domain and assessment skills training ?

    No, a combined certificate would be issued for both the assessments for which you wish to become the assessor. 

  • Can I re-appear for the assessment as many times as I wish to ?

    Yes, you may appear for the re-assessment as many times you wish to within the period of provisional authorization i.e., 6 months. 

  • Can I be allowed to undergo the training of only one set of skills – domain or assessment?

    No. A complete Training of Assessor (ToA) entails training for both sets of skills. 

  • As an existing assessor, if I’m unable to score above 80% in the domain or the assessment skills assessment/ evaluation, what would be the result ?

    As an existing assessor if you’re unable to score a minimum 80% score in both the assessments, you will be required to undergo the ‘ToA model for a new assessor’. 

  • Can I opt to undergo the training for multiple QP domain certification ?

    Yes, you may opt for the training in multiple QP domain certification if it is offered by Sector Skill Council.
